I love doing CALS with my friends at CAL Central! This is my entry in the 2020 Scrubbie CAL, the Two-Faced Scrubbie.
Materials:
Approximately 2 oz/90 yds worsted weight yarn (CYCA 4, Medium) in two colors. Model shown in Re-Up from Lion Brand Yarns, 1 skein each Raspberry (MC) and Cotton Candy (CC).
Crochet hook size G/6/4.25mm Gauge not critical for this pattern but you want a firm fabric so it doesn’t lose shape when it gets wet!
Finished Size: 6” in diameter

Scrubbie Face: Make 2
Rnd 1: With MC start with Magic Loop start (or ch 3, join into a ring with l st in first ch), ch 3, 11 dc in ring. Join rnd with sl st in top of beg-ch. 12 dc
Rnd 2: Change to CC, ch 3, FPtr in first st, *dc in next dc, FPtr in same st. Rep from * around. Join rnd with sl st in top of beg-ch. 12 dc + 12 FPtr
Rnd 3: Change to MC, ch 3, dc in first dc, FPtr in next FPtr, *2 dc in next dc, FPtr in next FPtr. Rep from * around. Join rnd with sl st in top of beg-ch. 24 dc + 12 FPtr
Rnd 4: Change to CC, ch 3, dc in first dc, dc in next dc, FPtr in next FPtr, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, FPtr in next FPtr. Rep from * around. Join rnd with sl st in top of beg-ch. 36 dc + 12 FPtr
Rnd 5: Change to MC, ch 3, dc in first dc, dc in each of next 2 dc, FPtr in next FPtr, *2 dc in next dc, dc in each of next 2 dc, FPtr in next FPtr. Rep from * around. Join rnd with sl st in top of beg-ch. End off. 48 dc +12 FPtr
Finishing:
Weave in ends on both pieces and hold them with wrong sides together.
Rnd 1: With MC, sc the two pieces together all the way around, working through both thicknesses. Join rnd with sl st in first sc. 60 sc
Rnd 2: With MC, ch 1, work 1 round of crab stitch/reverse single crochet around assembled Scrubbie. End off and weave in final end.
